Jim Rice started his company in his garage with one piece of
equipment in 1986. He incorporated in the State of Oklahoma in
1987, became Pro-Fab, Inc. and moved into a 10,000 square foot
manufacturing facility with eight employees
|

|
| After learning the intricacies
of bidding and winning government contracts, Jim Rice's new company
continued to grow. Pro-Fab, Inc. moved again in 1988 to a 20,000
sq. ft. building adding new machines and increasing the employee
headcount to 18. |
| As the reputation for delivering
quality parts on-time grew, so did the customer base. By the early
90's Pro-Fab's customer list included names like:
Gulfstream
Aerospace Corporation, |
|
Boeing Commercial Airplane Group, |
| British
Aerospace Aero structures Limited, |
| Department
of Defense,
|
|
Lockheed Martin, |
|
Cessna Aircraft Company, etc...
And Jim Rice was again forced to double his floor
space and hire more people to keep up with the demand for his high
quality aerospace parts and components. |

In May of 1996, Pro-Fab, Inc. relocated its 80+ employee workforce and
all of its machines and equipment to the current environmentally
controlled 150,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility that sits on 35 acres
of land. Here, finally, was the room necessary to allow for the
rapid growth of Pro-Fab, Inc. And grow it did! Through
aggressive recruiting and an effective in-house training program, the
company grew to over 200 employees and an annual gross sales of nearly
$20 million. Part of the growth was the addition of a
"built-from-scratch" metal finishing division. During this period
of rapid growth Pro-Fab met and exceeded the requirements for Boeing
D1-9000A Quality System Certification, and now exceeds the requirements
for AS9100. |

|
|
Pro-Fab, Inc. continues to be recognized as
one of the
premier privately owned companies
in Oklahoma City and the surrounding area. And its reputation
continues to grow around the world as a company that can provide
quality products and services to the commercial and military
aerospace industries Worldwide.
